How to Delete Google Voice Messages Across Devices

You can also make calls using Google Voice over the Internet and send and receive messages just like on your regular phone. Google Voice provides an alternate phone number that you can use to make calls over the Internet. In addition to receiving or sending messages on Google Voice, it's also essential for iPhone users to know how to delete Google voice messages on iPhone and other devices too. Here's how to delete individual or entire Google Voice conversations from the Google Voice mobile app or the Google Voice website.

Steps to Delete Google Voice Messages Across Devices

If you don't want to store your Google Voice messages, you can delete them by visiting the Messages tab on your device or computer. You can delete all of your messages at once or select individual messages to delete. To delete Google Voice messages across multiple devices, follow these steps:

  • Delete Google Voice messages on an iPhone or Android

  1. The first step to deleting a conversation is to open the Google Voice app. Then, tap the 'Chat Box' icon at the bottom of the screen to go to the 'Messages' tab. Next, tap the conversation that you wish to delete.
  2. You can delete a message by going to the 'Messages' tab on your iPhone, selecting the message thread, tapping the three dots at the top right corner, and selecting the 'Delete' button. Now, hold down on the message until you see a pop-up menu to delete Google Voice messages, then select the 'Delete' button.
  3. Finally, tap 'I Understand' in the pop-up box to confirm, then tap the 'Delete' button again.
  • Delete Google Voice messages on a Computer or Mac

  1. You can access Google Voice on your Mac or PC. Log in to your Google Voice account. Then, click the chat box icon to open your Messages section.
  2. You can delete a conversation by selecting it from the Options menu, the three vertical dots at the top-right corner of the conversation window.
  3. You will see three dots as soon as you hover over a message you want to delete. You should then click on the three dots to access the 'Options' menu. From there, select 'Delete' to delete the single message.
  4. If you want to recover Google Voice messages, open Google Voice and go to 'Archive.' Now, select each avatar next to the items you wish to restore. You can select more than one item at a time.
  5. You can delete a message by hovering your mouse over it and clicking the three dots that appear. A pop-up window will appear on the screen advising you that the action cannot be reversed. Then, click the 'Delete' button after checking the 'I understand' box, and again click the 'Delete' button.

It's unfortunate that Google Voice does not have a mass delete option. However, you can still go through the above steps to get rid of the messages in your account. This is how to delete Google Voice messages across multiple devices.
